     I am a licensed real estate broker in the state of Oregon located in the mid-Willamette Valley – getting my license in December of 2007. I work primarily in Benton, Linn and Polk Counties, but as a 4th generation native Oregonian, I am very familiar with most of the state. In addition to the areas surrounding Corvallis area, I have helped clients buy and sell in Portland, Central Oregon, Eugene, and on the Oregon Coast.

     My philosophy is to provide the same high level of service to my clients who are buying or selling a manufactured home in a park as what I provide clients who are buying or selling a multi-million-dollar property. Each client has the same questions and anxiety through the process and deserves the same level of service/respect. 90% of my business is from referrals from clients. I have received many referrals from a couple who were not my clients during the transaction (they were represented by the other agent) when they purchased their home but were so happy with how I operated during the transaction that they have chosen to refer friends and family to me.

     When I’m working with a client, I start by finding out as much as possible about their unique situation - within their comfort zone. So, before we launch a marketing plan or narrow a search, I will have done my homework on their needs. I keep the level of confidentiality as requested by clients; even the most discrete are comfortable contacting me at any time, about any property. My client relationships have longevity in part because of this special protection of my clients' needs. In some cases, I have three generations of clients from the same family! I try to make it feel like a fun experience for everyone involved, including the children inclined to boredom when viewing a number of homes. I work hard to build a high level of trust with my clients. Every single transaction is a personal challenge for me. How can I do this smarter, more efficiently? Joy Cooper

Assistant/Transaction Coordinator

   Before becoming the assistant/transaction coordinator for The Sharon L. Davis Broker team, I spent almost two years as the Administrative Assistant for RE/MAX Integrity Corvallis. This gave me a vast amount of experience with many different types of transactions, working with a large number of agents and vendors, and an understanding of the teamwork that it takes to see a real estate deal through from start to finish. I try to bring this experience with me to every client and every transaction.

   I was born and raised outside of Chicago, and was a Cubs fan long before it was cool. I earned my Bachelor's degree in History and Women's Studies from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina and attended graduate school at the University of Illinois Chicago. I found my way to Oregon in 2010, moving to Albany. My family has now settled outside of Portland, where we love to spend time in the yard with our two dogs or to take our camper out to explore all that Oregon has to offer.
